BlockBeats news: On January 14, law firm Burwick Law refiled its lawsuit against Pump.fun. The latest version of the lawsuit reiterates that although Pump.fun is marketed as a game of chance, it is in fact a "rigged casino," where its leaders "secretly predetermined who would win and who would lose, extracting huge profits from retail participants."
Internal messages cited in the lawsuit reveal that Pump.fun co-founder Alon Cohen admitted that "most people lost money." The plaintiffs allege that the platform enabled certain users to gain an advantage at token launches through a priority fee mechanism and accuse some crypto influencers of promoting tokens without disclosing compensation. Despite the serious allegations, the lawsuit lacks concrete evidence proving that executives personally profited, and the judge has allowed the plaintiffs to submit an amended complaint containing 5,000 private messages.
