ChainThink reports that on March 9, Brevis announced the launch of Brevis Vera, a media authenticity verification system powered by zero-knowledge proofs (ZK). The system aims to use cryptographic techniques to verify whether published images and videos were originally captured by legitimate devices and to ensure they have only undergone compliant and verifiable subsequent edits.
Brevis Vera's technical architecture combines hardware-level capture signatures compliant with the C2PA standard with zero-knowledge proofs generated by the Brevis Pico zkVM. This underlying logic ensures that cryptographic proof of origin is preserved throughout the entire media editing process, enabling verifiable provenance of content authenticity.
Brevis Vera is now live and supports open-source editing libraries.
