Citing Coindesk, Brazil’s largest bitcoin treasury firm OranjeBTC has repurchased 99,600 of its own shares for 1.12 million reals ($220,000), aiming to close the gap between its market price and the net asset value of its bitcoin holdings. The company, which holds 3,708 bitcoin worth about $409 million, is among a growing number of digital asset treasury firms using buybacks as their share prices trade below net asset value.
