Based on Coinomedia, Blockchain.com has obtained a MiCA license from Malta’s Financial Services Authority (MFSA), enabling it to offer custody and wallet services across 30 European Union countries. The license, part of the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulatory framework, marks a key step in the company’s compliance efforts and positions it to expand services across the EU without needing individual licenses in each country. Malta, known for its crypto-friendly policies, is among the first to implement MiCA, offering Blockchain.com a strategic advantage ahead of the regulation’s full rollout in 2025.
