Bitcoin ETF news remains a hot topic, with BHYP adding a new layer to the crypto investment landscape.
  • Bitwise has now launched the BHYP ETF with direct exposure to HYPE tokens.
  • ETF uses in-house staking instead of relying on third-party staking providers
  • Bitwise said that Hyperliquid controls a major share of on-chain perpetual DEX markets.

Bitwise Asset Management has announced the launch of the Bitwise Hyperliquid ETF, trading under the ticker BHYP, giving investors direct exposure to the Hyperliquid token HYPE.

According to the company, the ETF is designed to provide 100% spot exposure to HYPE and is the first fund in the sector to use in-house staking rather than relying on third-party staking providers.

Why Bitwise Is Betting On Hyperliquid

Bitwise said Hyperliquid has emerged as one of the most important on-chain trading platforms globally, especially during periods of market volatility.

The company pointed to recent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, noting that institutions continued trading on Hyperliquid even while traditional financial markets remained closed over the weekend.

According to Bitwise, Hyperliquid currently controls nearly 60% of global onchain perpetual decentralized exchange open interest, citing DeFi Llama data as of May 13, 2026.

The platform also reportedly processes around 200,000 orders per second, highlighting its growing infrastructure capabilities and increasing adoption across crypto markets.

HYPE Price Surges Amid ETF Launch

Following the ETF announcement, HYPE recorded strong gains and outperformed the broader crypto market.

The token climbed around 16% over the past 24 hours to trade near $45, driven by optimism surrounding the ETF launch and major partnerships involving Coinbase and Circle.

Market analysts say that deeper USDC integration across the Hyperliquid ecosystem could strengthen institutional adoption and increase utility for the platform.

Analysts Eye Further Upside For HYPE

Some analysts predict Hyperliquid could continue seeing strong momentum in the coming months as decentralized derivatives trading expands.

Crypto investor Arthur Hayes recently suggested that HYPE could reach $150 by August 2026 if adoption trends continue to accelerate.

Technical analysts also remain bullish, with resistance levels currently seen near $45 to $50. However, they warned that a drop below major support zones could trigger volatility for the token.
