Derived from Coincu, Bitfarms announced its plan to cease Bitcoin mining by 2027, converting its 18-megawatt site in Washington State into AI and high-performance data centers starting in December 2026. The company has secured a $128 million agreement for IT equipment and infrastructure at the site and has liquidity sources close to $1 billion. The announcement led to a 10-15% drop in Bitfarms’ stock price.
