Citing Bijie.com, Bitcoin Core recently underwent its first third-party security audit conducted by French firm Quarkslab. The 104-day audit focused on the P2P layer and block validation logic, identifying only two low-risk issues that did not affect the consensus mechanism or transaction validation. The codebase was described as highly mature.
