According to MetaEra, on December 4 (UTC+8), South Korean digital asset custodian Bidex announced the expansion and distribution of its Korean won stablecoin 'KRW1' onto the Polygon blockchain. Previously, Bidex had announced plans to issue KRW1 on Circle's blockchain platform Ark. In this new issuance, Bidex aims to add a Polygon-based version of KRW1, leveraging Polygon's high transaction processing performance and low fees. KRW1 is a stablecoin backed by Korean won deposits held in domestic bank accounts. (Source: Foresight News)
