Anthropic will brief global regulators on security vulnerabilities in the Mythos AI model that could affect risk-on assets. This follows a proposal by UK Bank Governor Andrew Bailey to assist the Financial Stability Board in developing AI compliance guidelines for finance. A draft is scheduled for public consultation next month. The initiative also aligns with broader CFT efforts. Both the FSB and Anthropic have declined to comment.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that AI company Anthropic has agreed to provide a specialized briefing to relevant personnel at the Financial Stability Board regarding its Mythos AI model. The briefing will focus on security vulnerabilities in the global financial system’s cybersecurity defenses identified by the model.

Two sources said the communication was proposed by Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England, requesting Anthropic to present its new Claude Mythos preview AI model to the Financial Stability Board. The Financial Stability Board is preparing a report on regulatory guidelines for AI applications in the financial sector, with a draft expected to be released next month for public comment. Both the Financial Stability Board and Anthropic declined to comment on the recent communications.
