Odaily Planet Daily reports that Anthropic has agreed to lease data center capacity from CoreWeave to meet the growing demand for its AI services. In a statement on Friday, CoreWeave said the multi-year agreement will assist Anthropic in building and deploying its Claude AI models. CoreWeave’s CEO, Ilantra, stated that the agreement will include multiple NVIDIA chip architectures within U.S. data centers. Both companies declined to disclose the financial terms of the agreement.
Like OpenAI, Anthropic has been at the forefront of the AI services boom, sometimes struggling to keep its services online amid what it calls "unprecedented demand." Earlier this week, Anthropic announced a partnership with Broadcom and Google to secure 3.5 gigawatts of energy (one gigawatt of power is sufficient to supply approximately 750,000 U.S. households simultaneously).
