Previously, creating a Claude Skill required manually writing a SKILL.md file and organizing scripts, resources, and templates. Now, users simply need to demonstrate the task for Claude, significantly lowering the barrier for non-technical users to create automation workflows. However, Claude is not the first—OpenAI launched a similar “Record & Replay” feature for Codex on June 18.
