Dave Treadwell, the executive responsible for Amazon’s website technology infrastructure, told employees that the company’s “This Week in Stores Tech” (TWiST) meeting would “dig deep” into “some of the circumstances that led to these issues.” The meeting is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Amazon's Senior Vice President of E-commerce, Treadwell, wrote in an employee notice: "You may already be aware that the availability of our website and related infrastructure has been subpar recently." He added that, due to the frequency of Sev 1 incidents—events causing critical system outages or performance degradation—he would be adjusting the focus of meetings.
