AIMPACT message, April 9: Alibaba Cloud's Bailian platform has officially launched the "Memory Bank" feature, enabling AI agents with long-term memory across sessions. It is currently available for free on a limited-time basis and supports API access and third-party tool integration.
This system is built on four core modules—extract, store, retrieve, and inject—and automatically extracts key information after a conversation, stores it, and dynamically retrieves historical memories through semantic search to enable a more personalized interaction experience.
In terms of feature design:
Provide white-box configuration and pre-set rules to lower development barriers and support multiple scenarios such as customer service and consumer electronics.
Introduce a dynamic memory governance mechanism that supports automatic updates, conflict filtering, and forgetting strategies.
Optimized search algorithm, reducing average response time by 50% and significantly improving relevance and accuracy.
In addition, this feature supports integration with Agent tools such as OpenClaw and provides enterprises with configurable, traceable long-term memory infrastructure, further advancing AI applications toward “personalized agents”.(Source: Alibaba Cloud)
