Huo Xing Cai Jing reports, according to TechCrunch, that AI data security company Cyera announced on Tuesday that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Oasis Security for approximately $1 billion, with the transaction expected to be primarily cash-based and the remainder paid in Cyera shares. Cyera recently completed a $600 million funding round at a $12 billion valuation. Oasis, founded in 2022, specializes in security for non-human identities such as AI agents and has raised approximately $195 million in total funding, with investors including Accel, Craft Ventures, and Cyberstarts. Cyera and Oasis share some investors; recently, Cyera has acquired Ryft and Genie Security. Following the acquisition, Cyera plans to integrate Oasis’s technology into a unified identity and data security platform. Cyera generates over $150 million in annual recurring revenue but remains far from profitability, having raised approximately $2.3 billion in total funding over its five-year history.
