Odaily Planet Daily reports that on June 21, Andre Cronje (AC) issued a statement addressing his departure from the Sonic Labs board and clarifying his specific roles within the Fantom and Sonic ecosystems.
AC confirmed that they have resigned from the Sonic Labs board, but noted that some external reports have conflated their technical role with the project’s business operations, token economics, and migration decisions. AC stated that they were not the founder of the company or the original token project, and initially participated only as a technical advisor.
AC further stated that it did not participate in the design, leadership, or execution of the FTM-to-S token migration, is not responsible for the design or management of the Sonic airdrop, and is not the decision-maker regarding the FTM-S token migration or the S token economic model. It also emphasized that it does not support shutting down the Ethereum ERC-20 version of FTM or halting the Opera network.
AC stated that it will no longer participate in Sonic Labs' business decisions and will focus its primary efforts on the Flying Tulip project.
