Derived from Bitcoin.com, the Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC) more than tripled its holdings in Blackrock’s Ishares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) during the third quarter of 2025, according to regulatory filings. ADIC increased its stake from approximately 2.4 million shares at the end of Q2 to nearly 8 million shares by the end of Q3, valued at about $518 million as of Sept. 30. The move aligns with Abu Dhabi’s long-term diversification strategy, complementing its direct Bitcoin exposure through mining operations. Mubadala Investment Company, another Abu Dhabi entity, maintained its 8.7 million-share position in IBIT, bringing the combined holdings of the two entities to roughly 16.7 million to 16.96 million shares.
