For this GTD application for @BITFOOTS_, what interests me most is how the project ties together the image of Bigfoot with the unique characteristics of two blockchains. The entire collection consists of only 303 pieces, each a unique 1/1 artwork. The team completed these pieces over two years ago but chose not to launch them during the peak NFT market—instead, they’ve held onto them until now. According to the official design, the collection will be minted on Zcash. Approved users who submit a Taproot address will also receive a corresponding Bitcoin Ordinals version. Minting on Zcash allows holders to preserve their privacy; retaining the version on Bitcoin provides a verifiable on-chain footprint for the artwork. This aligns perfectly with the Bigfoot legend: everyone has seen its footprints, but few know exactly where it hides. I also appreciate how the project handles its initial distribution. There’s no large-scale partnership list; GTDs are primarily distributed through applications, reviews, and community recommendations. The mint price is kept around $5, stated by the team as covering only platform and network fees. If I secure this GTD, I’ll choose a Bitfoot I’m truly excited to hold long-term—and I’ll share my full journey, from application to minting and claiming the Ordinals version, with the Chinese-speaking community. The application has been submitted. Now waiting for my ticket into the forest. 🌲
