I genuinely thought 2026 would be my year. I really believed it. But maybe I was wrong. Maybe 2026 was never meant to be my year. Maybe it was meant to teach me how much pain I can actually take. I don't even know how to explain what I'm feeling right now. I'm disappointed, exhausted, and honestly, a little broken inside. At the end of 2025, I started contributing to Zama. I put a lot into it, and then I ended up losing around 50% of the remaining money in my portfolio through the presale and holding the token. That was how I entered 2026. Still, I didn't stop. I started contributing to Aztec, Base, Linera, and Citrea. I kept giving my time, energy, and effort because I genuinely believed that eventually all of this would mean something. I spent around 6 months contributing to Aztec. Six months of my time, effort, and consistency. And when it came to rewards, I didn't even receive a single dollar. Then Citrea happened. Even after being a Regional Lead and putting in my contribution there, I ended up walking away with a $0 airdrop. It hurt, but I tried to move on. I told myself that maybe the next one would be different. So I continued. I kept contributing to Linera and Base. For the past 6 months, I've been putting my time into Base with the hope of becoming an Advocate. And now, after everything I've done, I'm hearing things from the team and seeing signs that the Advocate program might be coming to an end too. And then there's Linera. I started my journey there earlier this year as a Regional Lead. I gave Linera a huge part of my year. I gave my time, my energy, my ideas, my weekends, and so much of myself to the community. It wasn't just another project for me. It became a part of my life. And now, seeing Linera shut down after everything we've done and everything we've built is honestly one of the hardest things I've had to process this year. Sometimes I sit and think... How much more disappointment am I supposed to take? How many times can I start over, give everything I have, and still end up with nothing? I know Web3 isn't supposed to guarantee anything. I know there are no promises. I know things can disappear overnight. But knowing that doesn't make it hurt any less. I'm tired of pretending that everything is okay. Right now, a part of me genuinely wants to leave all of this behind. I want to disappear from Web3 for a while. I want to stop contributing, stop chasing roles, stop hoping for the next opportunity, and just breathe. Maybe I need a break. Maybe I need some time away from everything I've been doing for so long. I don't know if I'm quitting Web3 forever. I don't even know what I'll do next. But I think I need some time to recover from everything that happened this year. I started 2026 thinking, "This will be my year." And now I'm ending up asking myself, "Maybe I just need to survive this year first." I don't know what's next. For now, I'm just tired.
