The incident began when, during the era of Kaito’s “mouth-licking” scene, I observed what I perceived as a clique forming within that group—my MemeX ranking was removed. The position that originally belonged to me was taken over by a well-known Kaito blogger. Let me clarify: at the time, I was still in active collaboration with the project team. Before reaching out to the project team, I first contacted several members of this mouth-licking clique and a staff member from Kaito’s side to understand what had happened. After all, this matter involved approximately $10,000 in rewards, and I felt it was essential to get clear answers. Initially, the reason given seemed to be that my content quality was poor—or that I wasn’t working hard enough. Subsequently, I began gathering and organizing public statements and related incidents from some members of this clique, and I publicly shared what I had learned. This was the original cause of the entire incident. As for what happened afterward—who reached out to whom and what was said—that’s a separate chapter. At least from my perspective, I chose to bring the issue into the open. On the day after the incident, multiple KOLs, including Hualun, reported being targeted by the clique, and several BDs who had previously collaborated with me also shared their observations. Last year, I chose to stop pursuing content collaborations and openly positioned myself against the clique.
