The Encounter Already Happened A book
already
in circulation. Pages
turned
by hands
that do not know
the name
behind them. Characters
followed
from one room
to another.
 Judgments
formed
from the pressure
of the sentences
themselves. The writing
is present
before
its maker
is fully known. On the title page: By a Lady. Her name withheld from general readers— not from everyone. Family and publishers knew whose work they held. The wider public had the pages. The structure of the story. The precision of observation. The quiet force of a mind arranging what it sees. None of these require the name to be printed first. Later, the name enters the record.
Visible
beside
the pages
that already
traveled
without her. The revelation
does not create
the encounter
that already happened.
 Nor does it erase
the person
who shaped
the sentences. Both
remain present:
 the work
that arrived
first,
 and the life
that made it
possible. 🧡🔥₿ Quiet.
 Unfinished.
 Still readable—
