Who is still betting against GTA VI at The Game Awards? Game Direction is sitting at just 56% on Polymarket, and I genuinely don’t get it. This is GTA VI. People have been waiting more than a decade for this thing, and when it finally drops the entire gaming internet is going to disappear into Vice City for weeks. I’m expecting GTA to walk into TGA and start collecting awards like they were already reserved for Rockstar. GOTY, Game Direction, Narrative, performances, audio - I’m expecting an ugly sweep. It doesn’t even have to be the absolute best game in every individual category. Once one game becomes the game of the year, that momentum follows it everywhere. And yeah, the November 19 release is extremely late, so there’s some risk around how much time voters actually get with it. That’s the only part that gives me any pause. But betting on Control Resonant or Pragmata to stop the GTA VI train a few weeks after launch? I just don’t see it. What award do you actually think GTA VI loses?
