'BASED ON POSSIBILITY AND SPECULATION?' Defense counsel Justin Nicol Gular questioned Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Director Gerardo Del Rosario on Tuesday about whether his testimony on trust agreements was based on possibility and speculation during the 28th day of the impeachment trial. House prosecution counsel Erwin Matib objected, arguing that Del Rosario was not speculating but was drawing from more than 30 years of experience with the SEC, but Presiding Officer Francis “Chiz” Escudero allowed the question. Del Rosario later agreed that his remarks about the possibility of a trust agreement involving Vice President Sara Duterte and Gencorp Industries Inc. were merely his “kuro-kuro,” or an idea based on possibility.
