my view: what makes something valuable in the art space is when everyone who looks at said artist agrees their work deserves respect. when they get access to the artist, they don’t treat them like liquidity with a profile picture. they uplift them. collect their work because they actually love it. and keep it without immediately asking who the next buyer is. if you as a collector or curator understand respect, sincerity and supporting artists beyond your own bags ~ you can do amazing things. this is how an art world goes round. this is what makes collecting art fun. not everything needs a floor. sometimes the artist just needs someone who gives a fuck about the art.
