Yesterday ran on cheap money and labour. Tomorrow runs on cheap energy and compute. We spent thirty years making ours dear. On purpose. We emit under one percent of the world’s CO2. Yet we pay some of the highest power prices in the rich world. We shut the North Sea. Then we buy the same oil and gas back for twice the cost. That is not saving the planet. That is a country going broke so they can feel holy. Dear energy is a choice to get poorer and the UK is becoming poor and fast. They force this on us. They are forcing us to become poor. Why?
