I really liked this story. In 2020, Panthers offensive tackle Russell Okung announced he would convert half of his $13 million salary—approximately $6.5 million—into Bitcoin. If he had converted it, that would have been about 240 BTC. If he still holds it today, it would be worth around $19.2 million. Everyone wonders whether he still holds it, but what I loved most was his statement: Amid Bitcoin’s decline, he said: “Nobody understands. I will never sell Bitcoin.” And I strongly resonate with his words: “Money isn’t just currency—it’s power.” That’s the best way to put it. I believe he still holds BTC today.
