My 12 year old daughter made an apple cider cake today, with fresh whipped cream, caramelized apples and caramel sauce. Not one of her best, the last lemon and orange pound cakes were better. I thought it was ok, but I agree with her, she’s baked better. For sure can’t sell these like the others. Her brothers loved it as well, but they have simpler pallets. Can’t win them all, this is how you become a spectacular baker. You have to make some failures along the way. She made mistakes she said with some of the ingredients, and her selections. She’s growing.
