if you want to reach the highest potential in your career, it's simple: > take care of business, whatever is your responsibility, do it > take initiative, after finishing your duties, keep an eye for gaps in the business, and fill them with ideas and action > be a team player, the ball has energy, move it around and make those growing with you better > be self aware, understand where you can improve, and improve > take ownership. don't wait to be told every next step. treat the business like its success is partially your responsibility. none of these things are glamorous. none of them require you to be the smartest person in the room. but over the years, i've learned that the people who consistently do these things become incredibly difficult to replace. including yourself.
