I'm a parent, I totally agree with banning or restricting social media for minors, BUT, not by killing privacy on the internet. I sometimes feel the ID verification needed to ban minors (as you need to prove you're an adult) is a trojan horse to control us. They need to come with a different system, otherwise control will be more attractive than the protection they wish to offer. Or... self-regulation and education. As a parent, just DO NOT BUY A MOBILE DEVICE FOR YOUR MINOR, that easy.
