#Granada now hosts a cultural institution with no equivalent anywhere else in Europe. The #EspacioAmazigh, inaugurated on Saturday at the Carmen de los Porcel within the Alhambra complex, stands as the continent’s first exhibition center entirely devoted to the research, preservation, and promotion of #Amazighheritage. The project brings together 189 historical objects spanning more than three millennia of Amazigh civilization. The Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife and the Fondation Docteur Leïla Mezian jointly developed the space. A significant portion of the collection originates from artifacts assembled over half a century by the late Leïla Mezian Benjelloun, whose foundation carried the initiative forward. An additional donation of Amazigh jewelry came from former Spanish ambassador to Morocco #JorgeDezcallar and his wife Teresa Eça.
