The difference tonight was composure in the opening round. Ilia absorbed far too much damage early instead of fighting with the patience and precision that have defined his rise. That being said, he almost came close to securing a finish in Round 2, but the highest level of MMA, a single mistake can change everything. Defeat is humbling and we all need it at some point in our life. I'm confident Ilia will learn from this experience and come back even stronger. ✊
