Why the hell is it that when you ask a tough question, some people can't answer it and immediately start digging through your profile looking for something to insult? I've observed this in most of my comments. Instead of addressing the argument, they attack the person. If your position is strong, why not defend it? What fascinates me is that this behavior is often treated as if it's a valid response. It isn't. It's a classic sign that the discussion has reached a point where facts, logic, or evidence are no longer on their side. When people abandon the topic and start searching for personal attacks, they're effectively admitting that attacking the messenger is easier than answering the message. Can anyone explain why this has become such a common online reaction?
