Counting the pitfalls I encountered on my journey to becoming an X creator. The first was the requirement of reaching 3 million impressions within three months—I achieved this long ago but didn’t apply to become a creator, thinking I needed to link a bank account first. In reality, you can apply as soon as you meet the criteria, and linking a bank account can be done later—it’s two separate steps. I’m not sure if earnings are only counted after you’ve successfully applied as a creator. The second issue was the bank card. For friends in mainland China, it’s best to travel to Hong Kong in person to open a Hong Kong bank account. Last year, many banks had no minimum deposit requirements, but now most do. When opening a Hong Kong account, it’s advisable to also set up a stock trading account. If you can’t travel to Hong Kong, you can use Wise or Payoneer cards instead. I applied for Wise—some people get their cards quickly, others wait much longer; it’s a matter of luck. Mine took over two months to arrive. The third issue was setting up my Stripe account. At first, I selected a U.S. address, but then I couldn’t link my card. The address must match your bank account details—otherwise, it’s very difficult to update later. I eventually contacted @premium support to cancel my original Stripe account and created a new one with the correct address. Always follow Stripe’s instructions step by step in the revenue sharing section. After six months of trial and error, I finally got everything sorted—and now I’m officially earning my paycheck from X. Honestly, the whole process isn’t technically difficult; it just requires attention to detail. Most questions can be answered by searching on X, and if not, ask creators in the Chinese community—they’re incredibly helpful. Wishing everyone fewer pitfalls and早日成为优秀的创作者. As always, a beautiful face to start the post.
