In Turin, Italy, authorities arrested a man known as a "fake police officer" who repeatedly targeted elderly individuals with fraud and theft. He is suspected of attempted robbery, aggravated theft through unlawful entry, and misuse of fraudulent electronic payment cards. The suspect allegedly used the "fake Carabinieri" method, in which an accomplice would call the victim to instill fear, followed by the suspect visiting the victim’s home to steal money and valuables. The crimes affected multiple elderly residents across Turin, and police are currently investigating the whereabouts of the accomplices.
