For centuries we passed down our traditions, our stories and our information via the spoken word. Each one of these things exists in web3; tradition, stories, information… it’s why “community” is one of the most commonly-mentioned, powerful words we use. Humans talk. And web3 humans want to talk to each other about web3. We came to @farcaster_xyz as a decentralized alternative to other social media platforms- and it’s been great for a lot of reasons. But the purple app is missing a key ingredient: a native “spaces” feature. @BaseJunkie_ put it beautifully: “There’s a reason why people spend minutes on Farcaster vs hours on X: spaces.” @Firesidebase is the answer. But not just as a mini-app (even though it’s a really badass mini-app), Fireside is the answer to Farcaster’s attention problem. Farcaster has the ability to integrate a crypto-native spaces feature RIGHT NOW which would 100x the number of users and 1000000x the amount of QUALITY time spent on Farcaster. Today we got to hear from @rish_neynar about his thoughts for the future of Farcaster and I’m super excited for where we’re heading. In a world that will become exponentially infiltrated by ai, my hope is that more and more web3 humans can connect in Farcaster-integrated Firesides to become better informed, share their stories and make new traditions that reach out of web3 and into our real world communities.
