A couple of days ago, I used mobile data to connect to a VPN and browsed Twitter and exchanges, and then I started receiving frequent calls from the anti-fraud center! Is using a VPN within China being strictly cracked down on lately? @grok They even showed up at my door to educate me about scams—right when I opened the door, they wanted to inspect my phone. Luckily, I handed them a spare device, but they still checked my WeChat transaction history and Alipay transaction records—it was terrifying! If they found out I was trading cryptocurrencies, along with various exchange accounts and group chats, would I be taken away? This is my first time experiencing something like this! Later, they contacted me through a personal number, claiming I had clicked on some scam link and wanted to follow up—but I didn’t click anything at all! 🥹🥹
