As a nontechnical bitcoin podcaster, here’s what concerns me. Quantum could not be a real threat for decades but the perception of a threat is real and for big money investors that’s enough to question a serious allocation. What we’ve seen this cycle is that without big money investors, Bitcoin has a hard time being a multi trillion dollar asset and thus NumberGoUp doesn’t work. Without NgU, young people have zero reason to care. In particular young developers who want to spend time on the latest and greatest like AI and robotics. Without young developers bringing fresh perspectives, can Bitcoin survive quantum or whatever threat comes after it? I’m all in on Bitcoin but it’s clear to me Bitcoin can’t ossify and needs new talent to remain robust. We need a certain amount of geniuses at all times to have Bitcoin be their utmost intellectual priority.
