PSA for anyone building on @Algorand: Tooling fragmentation is the real killer for UX. 🧵 I spent my morning fighting a protocol deadlock just to recover a small balance. As a dev, I love the tech, but the gap between "Protocol Reality" and "User Tooling" is a chasm right now. The issue: Pera moved to the BIP-39 (24-word) "Universal" standard, but much of the legacy ALGO infra still expects the 25-word checksum format. Result? Derivation path mismatches that make accounts "invisible" to older community tools. The "Hustle": I have 2.5 $ALGO trapped because of "Local State" on a dead App ID (552635992). The Minimum Balance Requirement (MBR) is great for preventing state bloat, but when wallets don't provide a "Clear State" button for 24-word accounts, your funds are effectively in a roach motel. The Lesson: I had to dive into the browser console and manually build a ClearState txn just to bypass the UI limitations. If we want mass adoption, we can't expect users to be terminal wizards. Build "Opt-out" and "Clear State" functions directly into your DApp UIs, or users will just walk away.
