This is an illusion held by some people—had they truly believed in my recommendations without thinking for themselves, they wouldn’t have missed the earlier AI surge. I posted extensively, and many later assumed I was FOMOing, but the real market FOMO came much later. It’s precisely because they have their own biases and stubborn beliefs, yet refuse to acknowledge their own mistakes, that they shift blame to others to ease their own discomfort.
