I thought, “Why bother ordering online when I can just walk in and buy it?” The website said delivery wouldn’t arrive until October 15—why not just buy it in person? So I canceled my online order and walked into the store saying, “I’ll take one.” Holy crap—the price wasn’t the official price. They were charging extra. I thought it was an extra 300 yuan, so I said, “300 is too much; maybe I’d consider 100.” Then the salesperson told me it wasn’t 300—it was 900 yuan extra. I turned around and left. I thought in-store phones were sold at official retail price—turns out they’re marked up. Even adding 100 is a stretch, but adding 900? Who the hell would pay 900 yuan extra for this thing?
