Before that he was a consultant at Accenture.

Q&A from KuCoin
Q: Please introduce Oasys to everyone.
Ryo: Oasys has a double-layered architecture composed of L1 ("Hub-Layer") and many L2s ("Verse-Layers"). This structure allows the distribution of game transactions, often heavy in volume and instant transaction speed. Our verse-layers are built and run by game companies who will deploy their games and/or third-party games developed by other game companies.
Oasys aims to become the blockchain for mass adoption, our ultimate goal. Therefore, we focus on bringing the next-generation blockchain games and the best UX infrastructure for the gaming experience, not to mention zero gas fees for players.
We are creating a Global Gaming Alliance ecosystem backed by strong game giants such as Square Enix, SEGA, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, Netmarble, and many more! Also, as you can imagine, our governance will be unique!
Q: What is the current status of the project?
Daiki: Currently, Oasys is in the process of Mainnet Launch. It started at the end of October, and now it's in the final stage, so that Oasys will be fully launched soon.
We have just recently announced the completion of the Strategic Round and Public Sale. Galaxy Interactive, one of the leading venture investors in the gaming field, and South Korean gaming giant Nexon, the company behind the hit gaming franchise MapleStory, joined the Strategic Round. In the Public Sale, we reached the target amount within 12 hours, with commitment from 60 countries. It was meaningful for us to complete these rounds successfully in crypto.
Q: Please tell us more about the Oasys token, its role in the project, and the next steps.
Ryo: OAS is the base currency within the Oasys ecosystem, so there will be many situations where users can utilize the token. At the same time, they browse around the ecosystem as well as enjoy various games on Oasys.
Basic use cases should include:
- Payment of gas fees for transactions on the platform
- Participation in Oasys's decentralized governance process, allowing token holders to be involved in key decisions at Oasys
- Receipt of staking rewards for participating in the Oasys network
- Payment for NFTs and other ecosystem-related products and services
Game companies and larger holders need 10m OAS tokens to become a validator and 1m as a deposit to build their verse (L2).
Q: Please give us some points you want to highlight the most about Oasys, and differentiate them from competitors.
Daiki: First of all, among all other chains, what makes Oasys stand out is the gaming ecosystem that we are building. We are the chain validated by global game companies, not just one but many. You don't expect to find Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Sega, Ubisoft, Netmarble, Nexon, DMM, Com2us, Neowiz, and so many others in one chain.
With those valuable ecosystem participants, I would also like to introduce you to how our governance could look like. Oasys successfully onboarded gaming giants such as Square Enix, SEGA, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, Netmarble, and many others, and they hold OAS tokens.
This means the governance decisions made on Oasys set not only the rules for Oasys but also the entire Web3 gaming industry, as the decisions made through Oasys governance somewhat represent the entire gaming industry.
This is a great incentive for other game companies to hold OAS tokens to participate in Oasys governance. Furthermore, this could also mean setting the next standards of the Web3 industry, like the NFT metadata format.
Creating the history of web3 gaming could mean more than just governance; it is a great motivation for game companies and the gaming community to participate!
Q: How did you come up with the Oasys project?
Ryo: The idea of Oasys was born from the core members of the double jump.Tokyo, Oasys' main developer and also one of the most famous web3 game developers in Japan.
As double jump members engaged with various companies keen to build blockchain games, they realized there is a common necessity for a blockchain optimized for games.
Also, the timing was right because we've seen more people start using blockchain networks, making normal blockchain even harder to cope with the massive transaction volume that users generate by playing blockchain games. With more users, more developers were joining the race, including game developers.
Also, with the introduction of the various layer 2 solutions in 2021, we can use those latest developments to materialize our design ideas.
Q: Tell us about your partnerships and the major announcements up to date.
Daiki: We must change this huge blockchain gaming industry with strong partners. However, we are fortunate to have already collaborated with many great partners.
double jump.tokyo, a Japan-based game developer who has been making blockchain games since 2018, and their major titles "My Crypto Heroes" and "Brave Frontier Heroes" had ranked top in DAU, NFT transaction volume, and Ethereum (ETH) sales.
Twenty-one strong initial validators, including Square Enix, SEGA, BANDAI NAMCO Research, Ubisoft, Netmarble, Wemade, Com2uS, and NHN.
Investors of Private Sale:
Republic Capital, Crypto.com, Huobi, Gate.io, KuCoin, jump crypto, Fenbushi Capital, and so on
Consensys (Metamask), TofuNFT, Carv, etc.
Q: What position do you envision Oasys holding in the future of web3 gaming?
Ryo: Our ultimate goal is to drive the mass adoption of blockchain games. To achieve that, there are two key elements that we need to focus our efforts on. One is better UX, and the other is better content.
Regarding better UX as our chain, by the architecture of its design, we have eliminated the gas fees for all the users who want to play the games on OASYS. Gas fee raises the hurdle for all the new users of blockchain games even to try out the game. If you think about it, you will need some tokens every time you play the games, and after playing for a while, you will run out of gas fees. Imagine you have to go through the process every time: wiring the money to your favorite centralized exchanges, buying the tokens, and sending it to your meta mask or other wallets. Then, you have to come back to the game. It's just crystal clear that it's a very bad UX regarding the gaming experience. Gamers want to play games. They don't want to care that they need gas tokens every time they play the game. So we eliminated that entire process and made gas fees free to lower the hurdle tremendously. It is important to note that it's not the issue of whether the gas fee is high or low, but whether there IS a gas fee.
When it comes to better content as a gaming chain, it's the most important element for us to focus on. We are onboarding next-gen high-quality blockchain games. It will be a very different set of games we have experienced in the blockchain gaming scene.
The team works day and night, meeting all the game companies from all over the world. The game studios that we have partnered with those mainstream game companies are the ones who know how to develop good games. So we are onboarding them, and we're onboarding their games. Oasys wants to secure the leading position in the great web3 transition.
Free-Ask from KuCoin Community
Q: Where can I buy OAS tokens?
Ryo: OAS/USDT trading will be available on KuCoin on Monday, December 12, 2022!
Q: The initial offline seminar was effectively brought out by Oasys in Korea. What was the primary goal of holding this conference? How might securing a dominant position in Asian markets benefit you? Are you going to keep hosting these events?
Daiki: Yes. We have some target countries, including Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Brazil, Latin America, and more. We will continue holding a variety of events with each community moving forward.
Q: There are big hit games such as Mario and Dragon Quest in Japan. What is necessary for Japanese game companies to play an active role in the blockchain game industry?
Ryo: Every time in the early phase of mainstream adoption of online games and mobile games, Japanese IP was effective. History repeats.
Q: Where can we catch up with you to see the latest updates about Oasys?
Daiki: As I see multiple basic questions, please let me share with you the links:

Q: I want to ask how Oasys can bring a much-needed change in online games to having in-game items as NFTs and how large companies like BANDAI NAMCO INC. can take advantage of the blockchain system Oasys has to offer?
Ryo: Please stay tuned for further announcements!
Q: Why did you name your project Oasys? What problems will this project focus on in the gaming industry?
Ryo: Ready Player One and Oasys are the "sys"tem to realize that!
Q: What is the minimum amount to start playing on the platform?
Daiki: Zero. That is one of the most important features that Oasys provides to gamers. As a result, gamers can play blockchain games with zero gas fees as verse builders would pay the gas (but very cheap).
Q: When will your tokens be listed on the exchange?
Daiki: Will be available on December 12, 2022 at KuCoin Exchange.
Q: Staking and NFT are hot. Will you apply NFT technology to your products in the future?
