Update on KuCoin Leverage Token Trading Service

Dear KuCoin Users,
 
Thank you for your long-term support and trust in the KuCoin platform. To continuously optimize our product services, we will proceed with the delisting of Leveraged Token Services. 
 
The delisting will be carried out in two phases: Phase 1 involves the removal of all BTC-related leveraged tokens (including BTC3L, BTC3S, BTCUP, and BTCDOWN). After this phase, no leveraged tokens will remain listed. 
 
Phase 2 will comprise the complete closure of the leveraged tokens entry point. We are committed to ensuring a smooth and orderly delisting process, with the full protection of your assets throughout. The specific schedule is as follows:
 
Delisting Schedule 
 
Phase 1: Delisting of Existing Leveraged Tokens  
This phase will complete the delisting of all BTC-related leveraged tokens (including BTC3L, BTC3S, BTCUP, BTCDOWN), including their trading, subscription, redemption, and asset handling.

The subscription and redemption functions for all BTC leveraged tokens will be disabled.

Cancellation of Orders and Delisting of Trading Pairs
All pending orders for BTC leveraged tokens will be cancelled, and the related trading pairs will be closed.

USDT Distribution to Trading Accounts​
The equivalent USDT from the conversion will be automatically distributed to trading accounts within 24 hours. After the USDT distribution is completed, the delisted BTC leveraged tokens will be officially destroyed.

 

Phase 2: Closure of Leveraged Tokens Entry Points
In this phase, we will completely remove all entry points and pages related to leveraged tokens on both the App and Web.

Complete Removal of All Entry Points​
All leveraged tokens-related pages and functional entry points, including market data pages and trading interfaces, will be officially removed from both the App and Web, and will no longer be displayed.

 

Impact on You and Key Notes
  • We recommend taking early action: To ensure the handling of your assets aligns with your intentions, we strongly advise you to proactively manage your BTC leveraged token holdings (by selling or redeeming) before 09:00 on December 30, 2025 (UTC). After this time, you will no longer be able to initiate these actions yourself.
  • Removal of related pages and entry points: Starting from January 14, 2026 (UTC), all pages and entry points related to leveraged tokens will be removed from both the App and Web. After this time, it will no longer be possible to view or perform any operations regarding these tokens.
