KuCoin Community Terms of Use

Important Statements and Risk Disclosures
Welcome to the KuCoin Community. These KuCoin Community Terms (the “Community Terms”) apply to and govern your access to and use of the social and interactive features provided by KuCoin, such as KuCoin Feed (including posts, articles, and comments) and KuCoin Live (including live streams, chat rooms, and interactive broadcasts) (collectively, the “Community Services”). For the purposes of these Community Terms, “User(s)” means any individual or entity that accesses, browses, or otherwise uses the Community Services in any manner, including but not limited to visitors who are not registered or not logged in, as well as registered users (whether logged in or not, and whether or not they have completed identity verification (KYC/KYB)), and streamers authorized by KuCoin to conduct live streaming activities through KuCoin Live.
Before accessing KuCoin Community or using any of the Community Services, all Users must carefully read and fully understand the following important statements and risk disclosures:
  1. Community Content Does Not Constitute Investment Advice The KuCoin Community is an open, user-driven platform intended solely for information sharing, and discussions. All content made available within the KuCoin Community, including but not limited to posts, comments, live streams, images, videos, audio, trading strategies, or project recommendations, represents the personal views of the content publisher solely and does not in any way represent the views or positions of KuCoin, nor does it constitute any form of investment advice, offer, commitment, or guarantee. Users shall make independent judgments, exercise prudent discretion, and seek advice from independent and qualified professionals where necessary. Any investment or trading decisions made in reliance on KuCoin Community content shall be undertaken at Users’ own personal risk, and KuCoin shall not bear any liability for any losses arising therefrom.
  2. High Risks Associated with Digital Assets Trading Digital assets trading involves substantial risk and is highly volatile. Prices may fluctuate significantly and may result in partial or total loss of value. The Community Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, solely for information sharing and discussion purposes and do not provide any guarantee or implication with respect to trading results or returns. Users shall make independent assessments and exercise prudent judgment before making any investment or trading decisions.
  3. Risks of Third-Party Information The KuCoin Community may contain third-party information that has not been verified, reviewed or endorsed by KuCoin and such information does not constitute any recommendation or guarantee by KuCoin. KuCoin shall not be responsible for any risks, disputes, or losses arising therefrom.
  4. No Guarantee of Identity or Content Authenticity KuCoin does not verify or provide any guarantee regarding the qualifications, professional competence, information sources, or motivations of any User (including streamers). Users shall not transfer funds, disclose information, or participate in activities involving legal or financial risks based on any misjudgment of another person’s identity or content.
  5. Geographical Restrictions of Community Services Access to and use of the KuCoin Community and its related features are subject to geographic and regulatory restrictions. The availability of Community Services may be limited or prohibited in certain jurisdictions in accordance with KuCoin’s Terms of Use and applicable laws, as determined by KuCoin from time to time.
Before accessing KuCoin Community or using the Community Services, Users shall carefully read and fully understand these Community Terms, as well as the Terms of Use, Service Terms, Privacy Policy, Risk Disclosure Statement, and other applicable rules published or updated by the KuCoin platform from time to time (collectively, the “KuCoin’s Terms”). These Community Terms constitute the general terms governing the Community Services and form an important part of the KuCoin’s Terms. These Community Terms shall be read together with, and apply in conjunction with the KuCoin’s Terms.
By accessing or continuing to access KuCoin Community or by using any Community Services, Users shall be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Community Terms and the KuCoin's Terms, as revised, updated or supplemented from time to time.
If any User does not agree to these Community Terms or any part of the KuCoin’s Terms, or refuses to accept that KuCoin has the right to revise the foregoing terms from time to time, such User shall immediately cease accessing or using the KuCoin Community and the Community Services.
Article 1 Users’ Obligations
1.1 In the course of accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the Community Services in any manner, Users shall comply with applicable laws and regulations, as well as the KuCoin’s Terms, and shall use the Community Services in a reasonable and proper manner. Users shall not use Community Services to engage in any illegal or non-compliant activities, disrupt the normal order of the platform and KuCoin Community, or interfere with the lawful use of Community Services by other Users.
1.2 Users shall be solely and fully responsible for the content they publish, display, disseminate, or manage in the KuCoin Community and for the related conduct, and shall ensure that such content is true, accurate, and lawful, and does not infringe, misappropriate or otherwise violate the intellectual property rights, privacy rights or other lawful rights and interests of any third party. Where content includes copyrighted, proprietary, or third-party materials, Users shall obtain all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and authorizations in advance, or clearly and appropriately attribute the source in accordance with applicable laws and accepted practices. KuCoin shall not be responsible for, and expressly disclaims any liability arising from, any User-generated content or related conduct.
1.3 Users shall properly safeguard the account information and login credentials used to access or use Community Services, and shall not disclose, lend, transfer, or permit others to use their accounts in any manner. Any consequences arising from account theft, misuse, or abuse due to Users’ own actions or omissions shall be borne solely by such Users.
1.4 Users shall timely review KuCoin's Terms and Community Terms (as revised and updated by KuCoin from time to time, and shall adjust their use of the Community Services in accordance with such changes. If a User does not agree to any such revisions or updates, the User must immediately cease accessing and using the KuCoin Community and the Community Services.
Article 2 General Conduct Requirements
2.1 Users shall not use the KuCoin Community to engage in any conduct that violates applicable laws and regulations, regulatory requirements, or public order and good morals.
2.2 Users shall not, through spamming, repetitive posting, irrelevant information, malicious traffic diversion, junk advertising, or other means, disrupt the normal order of KuCoin Community communications or affect the normal operation of Community Services.
2.3 Users shall not impersonate or falsely represent KuCoin official personnel, partners, or other Users, or otherwise confuse identities or mislead others.
2.4 Users shall not engage in rebate, promotion, marketing, or other activities of a commercial nature without truthfully disclosing any relevant affiliations or obtaining prior written consent from KuCoin.
2.5 Users shall not, by any means, circumvent, undermine, or interfere with the Community Terms as well as management measures adopted by KuCoin to maintain KuCoin Community order, platform operations, or platform security.
Article 3 Content Publishing and Information Guidelines
3.1 Where Users publish, upload, display, or disseminate any content through the Community Services, Users shall ensure that such content is true, accurate, and lawful, and complies with applicable laws and regulations, the KuCoin Terms (particularly, these Community Terms).
3.2 Users shall not publish, disseminate, or otherwise provide any of the following content:
(1) false, misleading, unverified information, or information that may cause material misunderstanding to other Users;
(2) content involving fraud, exaggerated returns, guaranteed returns, or other misleading statements;
(3) pornographic, violent, bloody, terrorist, discriminatory, insulting, or other content unsuitable for public dissemination (as determined by KuCoin at its own discretion);
(4) content that infringes upon any third party’s intellectual property rights, trade secrets, privacy rights, portrait rights, or other lawful rights and interests;
(5) unauthorized advertisements, promotional information, QR codes, links, contact information, or other commercial content.
3.3 When publishing content involving market conditions, expected returns, investment views, or project-related information, Users shall remain prudent and objective and shall not induce others to make trading decisions.
3.4 KuCoin has all rights to review and manage content published by Users, and to take measures such as deletion, blocking, restriction of dissemination, or other necessary measures as appropriate.
3.5 To enhance streaming experience on KuCoin Live, streamers may be allowed to use third-party software, applications, tools, or services (collectively, "Third-Party Tools"). In utilising such Third-Party Tools, Users agree to the following:
(1) All Third-Party Tools referenced, linked, or utilized on the KuCoin platform are provided by independent entities. These tools are not developed, operated, controlled, or endorsed by KuCoin, nor do they constitute a part of KuCoin’s core services.
(2) Any reference to Third-Party Tools is for informational purposes only. The Platform expressly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the functionality, reliability, legality, or security of such tools. Inclusion does not constitute a recommendation, sponsorship, or guarantee of any kind.
(3) Streamers and Users who engage with Third-Party Tools do so at their sole discretion and exclusive risk. KuCoin shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, service interruptions, security breaches, data loss, or other adverse consequences resulting from the installation, use of, or reliance upon such tools.
(4) Users are exclusively responsible for reviewing, understanding, and complying with the terms of service, privacy policies, and applicable laws governing any Third-Party Tools. Any disputes arising from the use of these tools must be resolved directly with the respective third-party provider.
Article 4 Classification of Violations
4.1 For the purpose of maintaining the normal operation and security of the Community Services, KuCoin classifies violations within the KuCoin Community based on the nature of the violation, its severity, and its potential impact. The table below provides a general description of common types of violations in the KuCoin Community and categorizes such conduct as either serious violations or general violations, and such classification applies to all functional modules of the Community Services.
For avoidance of doubt, the circumstances listed on the table are on a without limitation basis and not exhaustive. KuCoin has the right to determine, in light of the specific circumstances, the nature of the violation and the applicable category of such conduct.

Serious Violations Illegal Activities and Fraud 1. Promoting, organizing, participating in, or assisting in any form the implementation of fraud, illegal fundraising, money laundering, or other illegal or criminal activities;
2. Publishing or disseminating content or engaging in conduct that may pose risks to others’ personal safety, property safety, or information security, or may cause other Users to suffer significant financial losses;
3. Falsely claiming or impersonating KuCoin officials, employees, partners, project parties, or otherwise carrying out serious fraudulent conduct;
4. Disclosing, trading, or soliciting sensitive information, including but not limited to account information, Users’ personal information, wallet addresses, contract addresses, private keys, mnemonic phrases, or login credentials;
5. Publishing or participating in platform activities through improper or illegal means, or engaging in conduct that infringes upon others’ lawful rights and interests, including but not limited to using bots to fabricate interactions, publishing false event information, inducing interactions, or mass-registering accounts;
6. Making any form of false or inaccurate statements, including but not limited to fabricating affiliation relationships, personal identity or qualifications, transaction records, profit situations, or other material facts;
7. Conducting fraud or improper acquisition of information through phishing, forged websites, fake customer service, or impersonation of official channels;
8. Promoting, publicizing, or participating in projects, plans, or schemes that clearly exhibit fraudulent characteristics or high-risk features, or publishing information that guarantees returns or promises repurchase;
9. Publishing content that infringes upon KuCoin or others’ copyright, trademark rights, privacy rights, or lawful rights and interests.
Financial Security and Market Order 1. Maliciously manipulating market prices, trading volumes, or market expectations for certain projects or assets, or publishing statements intended to trigger market panic or cause serious misinformation;
2. Organizing or coordinating others to buy or sell specific assets, or engaging in order spoofing, wash trading, pump-and-dump schemes, or other market manipulation behaviors;
3. Falsely displaying trading information, fabricating or tampering with profit data, transaction records, or other key information to influence others’ trading decisions;
4. Without KuCoin’s explicit written authorization or permission, guiding, organizing, or inducing Users to access third-party platforms, services, or content, including but not limited to promoting other trading platforms, third-party investment services, referral links, profit-sharing links, or external download links;
5. Promoting paid services, soliciting funds, requesting tips, or engaging in other disguised charging behaviors toward other Users;
6. Attempting to sell, purchase, transfer, exchange, sublicense or otherwise dispose of KuCoin accounts, usernames, profiles, or other account-related rights and interests by any means;
7. Falsely implying KuCoin’s endorsement, support, or approval of any specific individual, opinion, project, or service;
8. Fabricating facts, distorting information, or otherwise damaging KuCoin’s reputation or the normal operation of the KuCoin Community or KuCoin platform.
Content Safety Red Lines 1. Publishing, disseminating, or otherwise providing content involving terrorism, extremism, violent crimes, pornography, drugs, gambling, politically sensitive topics, hatred, discrimination, or content that incites social confrontation;
2. Publishing or disseminating content that explicitly involves nudity, sexual displays, or sexual violence, or other content clearly unsuitable for public dissemination;
3. Promoting, discussing, or providing illegal tools, illegal services, methods of illegal crimes, or information facilitating illegal activities.
General Violations Content and Conduct Standards 1. Publishing marketing or promotional content without disclosing all sponsorships, cooperation, or other interest relationships, or publishing misleading or exaggerated descriptions of products, services, or projects;
2. Publishing low-quality content with no substantive informational value, including but not limited to meaningless content, excessive repetition, or content solely intended to attract attention;
3. Publishing content containing obvious factual errors or fundamental inaccuracies, including but not limited to incorrect descriptions of basic concepts, mechanisms, or common knowledge;
4. Reposting or disseminating others’ works, content, or materials without proper authorization, where the circumstances are relatively minor and correctable.
Misleading, Improper Guidance, and Harassment 1. Inducing other Users to like, follow, or interact through repetitive posting or similar means without providing substantive content;
2. Insulting, harassing, provoking, abusing, personally attacking, threatening, defaming, or infringing upon others’ privacy, where such circumstances do not constitute serious violations;
3. Using others’ trademarks, names, logos, text, slogans, or designs without authorization, causing confusion or misunderstanding, but with limited scope of impact;
4. Falsely implying or misleadingly representing cooperation, authorization, or affiliation with KuCoin, including but not limited to improper use of KuCoin’s name, logo, or related elements in account information, live stream pages, cover images, nicknames, or similar locations without KuCoin prior written consent;
5. Engaging in improper guidance, emotional manipulation, or soft harassment through language, images, or other means, thereby affecting KuCoin Community order or Users' experience.
4.2 Where KuCoin determines that Users have engaged in any of the violations described in this Article in the course of using the Community Services, or have otherwise violated any Community Terms, the KuCoin’s Terms, or applicable laws and regulations, KuCoin has the right to take corresponding management or enforcement measures based on the nature and severity of the violation and its potential impact on KuCoin Community order, platform security, or other Users, and reserves the right to take further actions, including but not limited to initiating legal proceedings or other procedures it deems necessary, in order to seek appropriate legal remedies and relief.
Article 5 Handling of Violations
5.1 General Handling Principles
Where KuCoin determines that Users have engaged in any conduct in violation of these Community Terms, the KuCoin’s Terms, or applicable laws and regulations in the course of using the Community Services, KuCoin may, based on the nature, severity, frequency of occurrence of the violation and its potential impact on Community order, platform security, or other Users, take one or more of the following measures, including but not limited to, as appropriate:
(1) deleting, removing, blocking, or restricting the display of the relevant content;
(2) issuing warnings to Users, or applying traffic limitation measures to the relevant content or accounts;
(3) imposing temporary or permanent restrictions on interactive functions, such as muting;
(4) suspending, freezing, or terminating part or all of Users’ access to the Community Services.
Where Users commit serious violations, or where violations recur after the foregoing measures have been imposed, KuCoin reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to escalate and impose corresponding or more stringent measures. Such measures may include, without limitation, suspension or permanent termination of the User’s access to the KuCoin Community, termination of the platform–client relationship, lodging complaints or reports with relevant regulators or governing authorities, and initiating legal or other enforcement actions against the User.
5.2 Handling of Violations by Streamers
Where a streamer commits a violation or engages in potentially violating conduct in the course of using KuCoin Live, KuCoin may, based on the category and number of the violation, take the following measures as appropriate. Where a streamer accumulates more than three instances of general violations, KuCoin may, depending on the severity of the circumstances, cumulatively apply measures such as muting (posting and commenting), streaming bans, and traffic limitations, and has the right to treat such conduct as serious violations.
The handling measures listed below are illustrative only and shall not in any way limit, nor shall they be construed as, any limitation on KuCoin's rights or discretion to take any actions it deems appropriate or necessary to ensure the orderly, secure, and continuous operation of the KuCoin Community.
5.2.1 General Violations (as illustrated in Article 4.1)
(1) First violation: Warning;
(2) Second violation: Warning and traffic limitation; and
(3) Third violation: Muting (posting and commenting) for 3 days and a streaming ban for 1 day.
5.2.2 Serious Violations (as illustrated in Article 4.1)
(1) First violation: Warning and traffic limitation;
(2) Second violation: Muting (posting and commenting) for 3 days and streaming ban for 1 day;
(3) Third violation: Muting (posting and commenting) for 7 days and streaming ban for 3 days;
(4) Fourth violation: Muting (posting and commenting) for 14 days and streaming ban for 7 days; and
(5) Fifth violation: Permanent suspension or freezing of the User's access to KuCoin Community and/or termination of platform-client relationship.
5.3 Handling of Violations by Live Room Users
Where Users commit violations in the course of participating in interactions within KuCoin Live live rooms, KuCoin may, based on the category and number of occurrences of the violation, take the following measures as appropriate. Where Users accumulate more than three instances of general violations, KuCoin may, depending on the severity of the circumstances, cumulatively apply measures such as muting (posting and commenting), streaming bans, and traffic limitation, and has the right to treat such conduct as serious violations.
The handling measures listed below are illustrative only and do not constitute any limitation on KuCoin’s enforcement authority.
5.3.1 General Violations (as illustrated in Article 4.1)
(1) First violation: Warning;
(2) Second violation: Warning and muting (posting and commenting) for 1 day;
(3) Third violation: Muting (posting and commenting) for 3 days.
5.3.2 Serious Violations (as illustrated in Article 4.1)
(1) First violation: Warning and traffic limitation;
(2) Second violation: Muting (posting and commenting) for 3 days;
(3) Third violation: Muting (posting and commenting) for 7 days;
(4) Fourth violation: Muting (posting and commenting) for 14 days;
(5) Fifth violation: Permanent freezing or termination of account permissions, including but not limited to posting and commenting permissions.
5.4 KuCoin may identify and determine violations based on system detection, manual review, Users’ reports and complaints, regulatory requirements, or via any other appropriate means.
5.5 Where Users disagree with any Users' complaints or KuCoin’s handling decisions, Users may submit feedback through the official appeal channels provided by KuCoin. KuCoin will review the relevant facts and reserves the right to make the final determination. Any such determination shall be final, conclusive, and binding on the Users.
Article 6 Intellectual Property and Authorization
6.1 Unless otherwise expressly agreed, the copyright and related intellectual property rights in any content published, uploaded, displayed, or disseminated by Users through the Community Services (including but not limited to text, images, audio, video, live streaming footage, comments, bullet chats, transaction records, strategy information, links, and identifiers) shall, in principle, belong to the Users or the lawful rights holders.
6.2 Where Users publish any content through Community Services, Users shall be deemed to have granted KuCoin a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable, transferable, and sublicensable license, permitting KuCoin to use such content for the following purposes:
(1) displaying, disseminating, storing, reproducing, distributing, editing, organizing, formatting, translating, or making necessary technical modifications to the content;
(2) operating, maintaining, optimizing, recommending, translating, analyzing, or algorithmically distributing such content on KuCoin Community and where applicable, the KuCoin platform;
(3) compliance, risk control, auditing, dispute resolution, regulatory requirements, or internal management purposes;
(4) use for marketing promotion, event display, brand promotion, or user education;
(5) research, development, training, testing, optimization, and related applications by KuCoin or its affiliates based on artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies, including but not limited to automated processing, analysis, translation, or model training of the content.
6.3 The foregoing license shall not be affected by Users’ deletion of the relevant content, account restrictions, account cancellation, or termination of these Community Terms, and KuCoin shall not be required to pay any fees to Users or any lawful owners of such content for the foregoing use.
6.4 Users represent and warrant that they have lawful rights to the content they publish, or have obtained relevant authorization in accordance with law, and that such content does not infringe upon any third party’s copyright, trademark rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other lawful rights and interests of such third-party. Where any third-party claims, complaints, demands, investigations, or disputes arise due to content published by Users, Users shall bear all such corresponding liabilities and shall fully indemnify, defend and hold harmless KuCoin, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all losses for all losses, damages, liabilities, penalties, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) incurred as a result.
6.5 Without KuCoin’s prior written consent, no User shall, in any form or for any purpose, use, reference, display, disseminate, or otherwise mention KuCoin’s name, trademarks, logos, brand elements, or other distinctive identifiers.
Article 7 Adjustment of Community Services and Amendment of Community Terms
7.1 KuCoin has absolute rights and discretions, whether based on business development, changes in laws and regulations, regulatory requirements, or platform operational needs, to amend, update, or optimize these Community Terms, the Community Services, and related supplementary rules, and may publish such changes and implement them without further notice. KuCoin also has the right to adjust, upgrade, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the functions, service content, display methods, or usage rules of the KuCoin Community. The foregoing adjustments shall not constitute a breach of Community Terms by KuCoin, and KuCoin shall not bear any liability for compensation or indemnification to Users as a result thereof.
7.2 Amendments to these Community Terms shall take effect upon publication or on such other date as may be specified. Where Users continue to access KuCoin Community or use any of the Community Services, such User shall be deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the amended Community Terms.
7.3 Where Users do not agree to any of the amended content, Users shall cease accessing the KuCoin Community or using the Community Services before the amendments take effect. Otherwise, continued access or use by Users shall constitute full acceptance of the amended terms.
Article 8 Interpretation and Application
8.1 The headings of these Community Terms are provided for convenience of reference only and shall not affect the meaning or interpretation of the provisions hereof.
8.2 The right of interpretation and final decision with respect to these Community Terms and the Community Services shall vest with KuCoin.
8.3 If any provision of these Community Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
8.4 These Community Terms may be translated and published in different languages. In the event of any inconsistency or errors appearing in any translated version, the English version shall prevail.
Article 9 Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KuCoin shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or adverse consequences, whether direct or indirect, arising from Users’ access to, browsing of, use of, or inability to use the Community Services, or from Users’ reliance on any KuCoin Community content (including but not limited to views, information, analyses, transaction records, strategy displays, live streaming content, third-party links, or other materials published by Users).
9.2 Under no circumstances shall KuCoin be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other forms of damages, including but not limited to:
(1) any losses arising from investment decisions, trading activities, follow-on actions, or market fluctuations;
(2) any loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of opportunities, loss of expected benefits, or losses resulting from business interruption;
(3) any data loss, content deletion, account restrictions, permission adjustments, or interruption of Community Services functions;
(4) any disputes or losses arising from any Third-Party Tools or third party’s actions, negligence, breach, or illegal conduct, or from any third-party content, products, or services;
(5) any consequences arising from Users’ reliance on others’ identities, qualifications, professional competence, or statements, including fund transfers, information disclosure, or participation in activities involving legal or financial risks.
9.3 The disclaimers and limitations of liability set forth in this Article shall not be affected by any review, management, reminder, warning, or enforcement measures taken by KuCoin in respect of KuCoin Community content, Users’ conduct, or the Community Services. Any management actions taken by KuCoin with respect to KuCoin Community content or Users’ conduct shall not constitute any express or implied warranty as to the legality, authenticity, accuracy, completeness, or compliance of such content or conduct, nor shall they constitute any obligation on KuCoin’s part to conduct prior review or continuous monitoring. Any actions taken by KuCoin under these Community Terms are without prejudice to, and do not limit, any other rights, remedies, or actions available to KuCoin under these Community Terms, the KuCoin's Terms, applicable laws, or in equity.
Article 10 Intellectual Property Policy - Copyright Infringement
KuCoin respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you are a copyright holder or a legally authorized representative and believe that material hosted on the KuCoin Community constitutes an infringement of your protected works, please submit a formal Notice of Infringement to our customer service team at support@kucoin.com.
Submission Requirements
To process your request, your notice must include the following comprehensive details:
(1) A precise description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., original images, articles, or proprietary media).
(2) The exact URL(s) or specific navigational details pinpointing where the alleged infringing content is located within the KuCoin Community.
(3) Your full legal name, email address, and a valid telephone number for correspondence.
(4) A detailed explanation, supported by relevant evidence, outlining why the use of the content is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or existing legal frameworks.
(5) A formal statement confirming that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the rightful owner or are legally empowered to act on their behalf.
