Buying Crypto via P2P Trading (App)

Welcome to the P2P Trading FAQ! Below is a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the platform and understand the process.
1. First, log in to your KuCoin app. Select Trade → Fiat.

2.Getting Started
In the [P2P] page, the system automatically matches a counterparty for you. You can manually select your preferred seller to trade with.

2.1 Select Currency and Crypto
- Choose the fiat currency you want to use and the cryptocurrency you want to buy.
- Enter the amount of fiat currency you wish to spend, and the system will calculate the crypto amount you’ll receive.
- Click [Buy USDT].

2.2 Choose Payment Method
Select your preferred payment method.
2.3 Confirm Order Information
Review the details of your order before proceeding.

2.4 Transfer Payment to Seller
- You will see the seller’s payment details. Transfer the payment using the seller’s preferred method within the time limit.
- Use the [Chat] function to communicate with the seller if needed.
- After transferring the payment, click [Pay] and [Confirm Payment].

Important Notes:
- Transfer payment directly to the seller via bank transfer based on the seller’s payment information. You may use the [Chat] function on the left to contact the seller.
- Do not click [Cancel] unless you’ve received a refund from the seller.
- Do not click [Confirm Payment] unless you’ve completed the payment.
3.Completing the Transaction
Seller Confirmation
- Once the seller confirms your payment, they will release the cryptocurrency to you, completing the transaction.
- You can click [Transfer Assets] to view your crypto assets.


Troubleshooting

If you don’t receive the cryptocurrency after clicking [Confirm Payment], click [Need Help?] to contact Customer Support.

You can also click [Remind Seller] to prompt the seller via the system.
Order Limitations

You cannot place more than two ongoing orders at the same time. Complete your existing orders before placing new ones.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do I need to upload proof-of-payment before marking an order as paid?
A: To prevent issues where users mark orders as paid without actually transferring funds, we require proof-of-payment. This ensures a smoother experience for both buyers and sellers.

If the proof-of-payment is invalid, the platform reserves the right to cancel your order.
Note: Currently, this requirement applies only to the following markets: EUR, USD, CAD, SAR, KRW, AED, & PLN. Other markets are not affected at this time.
