🧹 Deals are dying in the data room, not on the price slide. 📉 Valuation gaps can be negotiated. A forecast with no owners, messy cohorts, and CRM that only the founder understands cannot. Buyers read that as risk, then they cut the multiple or walk. 📁 Clean the room 12 months early. Named pipeline, real conversion math, and a forecast someone else can defend. 🍸 TL;DR legends: Hygiene is not admin work. It is how you keep the price you think you deserve. If a buyer opened your data room tomorrow, what would make them flinch first? @lnzventures #Fundraising #MAndA #Exit #Forecasting #GTM #Founders

⏳ If the first time you think about transferability is when a banker asks for the data room, you're already late. 📉 Buyers do not buy last year’s bookings. They buy whether AEs can close, the forecast has owners, and revenue still shows up if you step out. 🛠️ That work takes 12 to 24 months. ICP, pipeline quality, systems, and a motion that is not founder heroics. Exit readiness is operability with a deadline. 🎯 LNZ Ventures treats the raise and the sale as the same engine at a later stage. Growth is only the start. Value is the outcome. 🥂 TL;DR legends: Start the exit clock two years early. Diligence is just the audit of the operating system you should already be running. If a buyer called this quarter, what would break first? @lnzventures #ExitReadiness #MAndA #GTM #Valuation #Founders #RevenueEngine #DueDiligence

📊 Buyers and investors do not underwrite your growth story. They underwrite whether the revenue shows up again next quarter without a hero. 🔥 A spike is not a system. If new logos depend on the founder, one channel, or one lucky cohort, the multiple gets marked down in diligence even when the top line looks fine. 🧱 Predictable revenue is named ICP, repeatable conversion, a forecast with owners, and retention that does not collapse when you stop pushing. 🛠️ That is the engine LNZ Ventures builds before a raise or a sale. Value is the outcome. Growth is only the start. 🍺 TL;DR legends: The story gets you the meeting. Predictable revenue gets you the price. Would your forecast still hold if you stepped out for 30 days? @lnzventures #Fundraising #Valuation #GTM #Revenue #Founders #ExitReadiness

🚨 Most raises do not die in the pitch. They die when the GTM plan cannot support the capital plan. 🔥 Diligence is where that gap gets exposed. The deck says one ramp. The motion, ICP, and conversion math say another. 🛠️ Do not open investor meetings until the 18-month GTM model and the use of proceeds are the same document. 🍸 TL;DR legends: Match the revenue engine to the raise before you take meetings, or diligence will do it for you. When you last raised, which broke first, the story or the operating plan? @lnzventures #Fundraising #GTM #InvestorReadiness #CapitalRaise #Founders

Do you want to exit your business someday? Business buyers do not pay a premium for a founder who still owns every deal. They pay for a revenue engine that still runs if you step out. Repeatable pipeline. Named owners. A forecast that is not just your memory. If the $20M company only closes when you get on the plane, the multiple shrinks. In SaaS and services alike, transferability is the product. Document the ICP. Show that AEs can open and close without you. Prove outbound and inbound are systems, not heroics. That is what diligence is actually testing. Not last year’s bookings. It's whether the engine survives the sale. @LNZVentures #MergersAndAcquisitions #Valuation #GTM #Sales #SaaS

Most deals do not lose to a competitor. They lose to “do nothing.” And they lose twice when the champion leaves and nobody else can explain why the project still matters. Build the narrative for the company, not the one person who liked you. Why now. What it costs to wait. Who owns the outcome if that champion changes jobs. Put it in writing the committee can reuse after your last call. If the case only works while one advocate is in the room, you do not have a deal. You have a relationship. @LNZVentures #EnterpriseSales #GTM #SalesStrategy #RevOps #WinRate

Discounting is usually a forecast problem wearing a pricing costume. Reps cut price when the next step is weak, the buying group is thin, or the quarter is close. Governance that only says “no” slows deals. Governance that asks “why this discount, and what did we get for it” protects margin without freezing the motion. Set a clear floor. Require a trade: term, scope, case study, multi-year, or executive access. If there is no trade, there is no discount. The goal is not zero discounting. It is stopping unpaid concessions that train the buyer to wait. @LNZVentures #EnterpriseSales #Pricing #GTM #RevOps #SalesLeadership

Most comp plans still pay for a single-threaded close. That is how you get hero deals with one champion, a thin buying group, and a renewal that falls apart when that person leaves. Pay for coverage. Reward documented multi-threading: economic buyer plus users plus the person who has to live with implementation. If the deal only has one name, it should not get full credit. This is not extra process. It is risk pricing. A single-threaded win is cheaper to book and more expensive to keep. Change the plan and the behavior changes. Leave the plan alone and reps will keep hunting the easy yes. @LNZVentures #EnterpriseSales #SalesComp #GTM #RevOps #SalesLeadership

Enterprise sales still starts with a discovery call. The better teams now start with product signal. Logins, feature adoption, trial usage, docs traffic, and who invited a colleague tell you more than a first-meeting questionnaire. In a long cycle, those signals show who is actually building conviction while the committee is still “evaluating.” This does not replace the AE. It changes what the AE walks in with. Instead of guessing at pain, they can point to usage, stalled activation, or a champion who is already pulling the product into the workflow. The miss is treating product-led motion as a separate motion. In enterprise, it should sit inside the same deal: signal → conversation → mutual action plan → close. If your sales team cannot see product behavior, they are selling blind. @LNZVentures #EnterpriseSales #PLG #GTM #RevOps #SalesStrategy

If a prospect is ready to talk, make them hunt for a form and a three-day follow-up and you already lost the moment. SaaS buyers do the research before they ever raise their hand. By the time they hit your site, the question is not “who are you.” It is “can I get a real conversation without friction.” A visible scheduler on the product or pricing page turns intent into a meeting while the interest is still warm. Waiting for an SDR to qualify a demo request is seller convenience. Letting the right prospect book time is buyer energy. You can still route, score, and protect the calendar. Just do not hide the path. If they have to fill out a form and wait, a competitor with a calendar link will take the meeting. @LNZVentures #SaaS #GTM #Sales #Marketing #EnterpriseSales
