NEXPACE was unveiled on August 27, 2024 when Nexon announced the Nexpace Protocol and NXPC token to expand MapleStory IP through blockchain innovation. In early 2025, its Avalanche-based Henesys L1 testnets supported over 972 000 unique wallets and 32 million on-chain transactions during playtests, demonstrating robust engagement ahead of MapleStory N’s global launch on May 15, 2025. That launch marked the first live title in the MapleStory Universe, integrating NXPC rewards into gameplay and NFT-based asset creation. As part of “Reward Experience 2.0,” NXPC rewards players for UGC, in-game achievements, and ecosystem contributions—aligning player incentives with IP expansion. Players and creators earn NXPC primarily through the contribution mechanism: on-chain tracking of NFT usage, UGC submissions, and ecosystem support yields proportional NXPC rewards.
