How Does Lympo Work?
Leading sports athletes can release their official branded NFT collections on Lympo, enjoying their intellectual property (IP) rights over these products. Athletes and their representatives interface with the Lympo team through the multi-stage creative process to mint NFTs on the Lympo platform.
Athletes can mint sports NFTs in the following categories: common cards, uncommon cards, rare cards, epic cards, legendary cards, and GOAT cards - in order of reducing quantity and increasing value. The standard distribution of sports NFTs is as follows: 1,000 common cards, 500 uncommon cards, 100 rare cards, 25 epic cards, five legendary cards, and 1 GOAT card.
The NFTs can be minted on the Lympo NFT minting platform in the following pools: Athletes, O’Lympians, REVV Motorsport, Sandbox, and Blockchain Heroes. The NFTs acquired on the platform can be staked by users to earn rewards. The potential of rewards increases based on the type of NFT staked and their rarity.
Lympo also launches special partnership NFTs with additional functionalities beyond staking and P2E benefits. These special NFTs are launched by various partners and offer exclusive benefits to their holders.
Lympo has also partnered with The Sandbox to create NFTs that can function as assets in the leading metaverse platform. These tokens represent various sports items that can be added to users’ Sandbox NFT collections or LAND.
History of Lympo and LYM Token
The Lympo project initially focused on a Move-to-Earn model of operations, providing incentives in LYM tokens for users leading a healthy lifestyle. Users could earn rewards for accomplishing lifestyle goals such as running, following a nutritious diet, visiting the gym, and participating in sports competitions and events.
They could then use these rewards on the Lympo Marketplace to purchase premium features and discounted goods and services offered by the company’s corporate partners.
