Learn with ILITY Network (ILY): Private Cross-Chain Identity for Web3
Introduction: ILITY Network is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain built for privacy-preserving onchain identity and cross-chain data verification. It allows users to prove asset ownership, wallet history, governance activity, trading behavior, and other onchain data across multiple blockchains without exposing wallet addresses or transaction histories. Powered by zero-knowledge proofs, decentralized identifiers, and cross-chain verification, ILITY aims to give users control over how their onchain data is proven, shared, and monetized.
The Privacy Problem in Onchain Data
Blockchain data is transparent by default.
This transparency is useful for verification, but it also creates problems for users. When someone connects a wallet to a dApp, they may expose their full balance sheet, transaction history, trading behavior, staking activity, and cross-chain movements.
For many users, this is too much information.
A person may only want to prove that they hold a certain asset, completed a certain action, or participated in a specific ecosystem. But traditional blockchain systems often require them to reveal the wallet address itself, which can expose far more than necessary.
This becomes even more complicated in a multi-chain world. Users may have different wallets across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, zkSync, and other chains. Their identity and reputation become fragmented, while their data can be tracked or monetized by third parties without clear consent.
ILITY Network is designed to solve this by separating verification from exposure.
Private Proofs Across Multiple Chains
ILITY’s core capability is private cross-chain data verification.
This means users can prove facts about their onchain activity without revealing the raw data behind those facts. For example, a user may prove that they hold certain assets, participated in governance, traded on a specific platform, or reached a certain portfolio threshold without exposing every wallet address or transaction.
ILITY uses zero-knowledge proofs to make this possible.
A zero-knowledge proof allows one party to prove that a statement is true without revealing the underlying private information. In ILITY’s case, the statement may be based on wallet balances, transaction history, activity across chains, or other onchain data.
Applications can verify the proof, but they do not need to see the user’s raw wallet history.
This creates a new model of data ownership. Users can decide what to prove, when to prove it, and who can use that proof.
Self-Sovereign Identity for Web3
ILITY is also focused on self-sovereign identity.
In Web3, users often build reputation through their wallets. A wallet may show trading history, governance votes, staking activity, NFT ownership, DeFi usage, or long-term participation in an ecosystem. But if all of that reputation is public and tied directly to wallet addresses, privacy becomes difficult.
ILITY allows users to unify fragmented wallet activity under a single private identity.
This identity can be built through decentralized identifiers, or DIDs, combined with zero-knowledge proofs and cross-chain verification. Multiple wallets can be linked privately, allowing users to prove reputation or credibility without doxing the full wallet cluster.
This matters for many use cases.
A trader may want to prove historical performance without exposing all positions. A DAO participant may want to prove voting history without revealing unrelated assets. A user may want access to a gated product based on holdings without showing their entire portfolio.
ILITY turns onchain identity from something fully public into something selectively provable.
ZK Verification on an EVM Layer 1
ILITY is built as an EVM-compatible Layer 1.
This means developers can use familiar Ethereum tooling while building applications that rely on private verification. The network supports zero-knowledge proof verification through onchain verifier contracts, while offchain provers generate proofs based on user data.
The technical design includes support for proof systems such as Groth16, PLONK, and Plonkish models. Proof verification can use EVM-compatible cryptographic precompiles such as BN254 pairing operations.
The network also uses cross-chain data bridging and verification to bring data from multiple source chains into the ILITY environment. This allows users to prove activity across different ecosystems rather than being limited to one chain.
In simple terms, ILITY provides the infrastructure for applications to verify private cross-chain facts in a blockchain-native way.
What Developers Can Build With ILITY
ILITY can support many privacy-first Web3 applications.
For trading analytics platforms, users could prove wallet performance or trading history without exposing all addresses. For SocialFi protocols, users could show credibility, activity, or community participation without revealing their full financial footprint.
For DeFi applications, users may prove eligibility for certain products based on holdings, activity, or risk profile while keeping wallet details private. For cross-chain portfolio tools, users can aggregate multiple wallets into one private credibility surface.
This can also benefit AI agents and automated systems.
As more agents interact with onchain apps, they may need to verify user profiles, risk levels, holdings, or permission conditions. ILITY can provide structured private proofs that applications and agents can consume without requiring full access to raw wallet data.
This makes ILITY useful not only for privacy, but also for trust, discovery, access control, and data monetization.
ILY Token Utility
$ILY is the native token of ILITY Network.
It is used to pay gas fees for transactions and private proof verification on the network. Since ILITY is built around proof generation and verification, demand for $ILY is connected to usage by users, dApps, and partners that need private cross-chain data verification.
$$ILY is also used for staking and network security. Users can delegate$$ILY to validators who secure block production and help maintain network correctness. Rewards are distributed by epoch and are linked to validator participation and block production.
The token also supports ecosystem access. Users may use ILITY Hub and other applications to aggregate wallets, generate private credibility proofs, and access privacy-first tools.
Governance is another part of $ILY utility. Token holders can participate in decisions related to supported chains, proof parameters, validator policy, treasury allocation, and protocol upgrades.
The total supply of $ILY is fixed at 1,000,000,000 tokens.
The Bigger Picture for ILITY
ILITY Network is building infrastructure for a Web3 world where identity and data become more important, but privacy remains necessary.
As crypto becomes more multi-chain, users generate more valuable behavioral data. Their wallets show what they own, how they trade, what they support, where they participate, and how they move capital. This data can be useful, but it should not always be exposed by default.
ILITY gives users a way to prove economic credibility without giving up control over their data.
This can unlock better reputation systems, smarter dApp access, private portfolio verification, privacy-preserving analytics, and user-controlled data monetization. Instead of letting third parties freely extract wallet behavior, ILITY allows users to decide how their data is proven and utilized.
In short, ILITY is building a private verification layer for onchain identity — helping users prove who they are in Web3 without revealing everything they own or do.
