What Is Copy Trading?
Published: July 7, 2026 at 9:03 AM
Copy trading allows users to follow another trader's actions based on platform rules. When a lead trader opens, adds to, reduces, or closes a position, the system can copy those actions in the follower's account, helping users participate in the market without placing every trade manually. Some users choose copy trading because they have limited experience, lack time to monitor the market, or want a simpler way to participate — though this lowers the barrier to entry, it does not remove risk. A lead trader is a trader whose performance and data are visible for others to review; a follower is a user who allocates funds to follow those trades. Copy trading is not asset management — users still control whether to follow, how much to allocate, and whether to continue.
