How Grid Trading Works
Taking the most popular grid trading as an example, its core is "buy low, sell high":
-
Within your specified price range, the bot places multiple buy and sell orders at fixed intervals, forming a structured “grid.”
-
When price declines → buy orders are triggered automatically, accumulating more assets.
-
When price rises → sell orders are triggered automatically, locking in profits.
-
Through repeated cycles, the strategy accumulates small but consistent returns from market fluctuations, keeping assets actively deployed even when overall market direction is unclear.
Bot Risks and Considerations
-
Market Risk: Extreme volatility, flash crashes, or black swan events may result in losses. In leveraged strategies, liquidation risk must be carefully considered.
-
Configuration Risk: Improper parameter settings may amplify losses; regular monitoring and adjustments are recommended.
-
No Profit Guarantee: Past performance does not guarantee future results. Strategies must align with prevailing market conditions.
-
Security: While the KuCoin platform is secure and reliable, users must safeguard their accounts and avoid sharing login credentials.
