Yamanouchi — Founder & CEO of Well Medical Group

After working for Daiichi Pharmaceutical and Capital Partner Securities Medical M&A, I established a management consulting company for medical institutions in 2016. Not only a consulting position but also managed medical corporations and other businesses myself. Currently, I am involved in the management of Clinic 9ru, THE PREVENTION CLINIC TOKYO, which opened in 2021.

Q&A from KuCoin

Q: Please introduce the project and what it is all about.

Yamanouchi: The purpose of CARE is to revolutionize the world from a medical perspective so that all people can be free from various diseases and lead healthy and satisfying lives.

The cash generated from CARE will be used to invest in the early realization of future medical technology and to expand access to treatment for those who cannot receive satisfactory treatment due to financial reasons.

Our native token, CareCoin, is a utility token for the CARE ecosystem that manages medical and health data using decentralized blockchain technology. The token is designed solely as a secure remittance method within the CARE platform.

The CareCoin also functions as loyalty membership points that provide users with a certain amount of access based on the amount of CARE staked.

Q: What is the problem the project aims to address?

Yamanouchi: CARE aims to address the following issues:

First of all, business development issues. Healthcare providers need help capturing and processing large data sets due to inconsistent electronic health records and insurance systems standards. As a result, it is difficult to mutually distribute data among providers, which results in a lack of incentive to increase the number of cases and opportunity loss for the development of medicine and diversification of services.

Second of all, issues for healthcare recipients. All people who receive health care services face the challenge of proactively managing their health status and health data. Unfortunately, there is no reward for working on prevention and recovery in an unwell state. And some people might feel a medical checkup is stressful. As a result, most patients will only go to the hospital once the disease is diagnosed.

Last but not least, issues for data providers. People who undergo advanced medical procedures are taking risks and providing sensitive information for the development of the medical industry. However, they don't get rewarded for that data. Besides, there is also the risk of unwanted leakage of sensitive data.

Q: What are your main strengths and unique features as a project?

Yamanouchi: The most significant idea of Web3 for healthcare is data ownership, which is a great use case of blockchain technology. However, CARE aims to build a platform to serve more than that.

The CARE platform provides access to various personalized healthcare services based on iPS cells and AI. The value exchange will take place in CARE tokens.

As the founder of the CARE project, I also manage two medical facilities. One medical checkup clinic and one anti-aging clinic. The two facilities joined the CARE ecosystem from the start of the project. In addition, we have a great business partner called I Peace. It's a company established in Silicon Valley, U.S.A., by Dr. Koji Tanabe (Kyoto University), who was named as the second author in the Nobel Prize paper by Professor Shinya Yamanaka of Kyoto University on the successful cultivation of iPS cells. The I Peace will also join the CARE ecosystem to serve iPS cell banking.

Q: You mentioned two clinics as the strength of the project. Can you tell us more about these clinics?

Yamanouchi: Both facilities are based in The Peninsula Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan. The medical checkup clinic is called The Prevention Clinic Tokyo. This facility provides VIP medical checkups and is equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, upper and lower endoscopy, mammography, USS, and more. The anti-aging clinic is called CLINIC 9ru. The 9ru provides radical anti-aging skincare therapy that combines the best laser skin care equipment and regenerative medicine.

Q: What security measures are you implementing?

Yamanouchi: We are aware that security is a critical point in the Web3 world. Our team stores secret keys in hardware wallets to strengthen security. Besides, we are also considering building partnerships with security solution providers in the future.

Q: What is the next step for CARE?

Yamanouchi: Currently, we are working on payment integration. Our users will be able to pay with CareCoin at The Prevention Clinic Tokyo and CLINIC 9ru soon. In addition, more development and marketing activities are under planning. So, please stay tuned with us.

Free-Ask from KuCoin Community

Q: Where is CARE currently listed, and which exchanges do you plan to list in the future?

Yamanouchi: Our achievements in the first phase of the listing plan are amazing. Now you can trade CareCoin on KuCoin. We are currently reviewing the second phase of our plan. There might be some changes based on the macro market. Please stay tuned with us for the latest information.

Q: What are the plans for global expansion?

Yamanouchi: The two medical facilities I manage serve users across the world. Since both facilities are based in The Peninsula Tokyo, the most popular luxury hotel in Japan for tourism and business, it is adjacent to the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and close to the Ginza area, which is popular among visitors. The CARE project will leverage the experience to attract global users.

We are focusing on both the market and building at this time.

Q: Have you been audited before?

Yamanouchi: We have our smart contract audited by a leading blockchain security company called Eocene.

Q: Can you give an overview of your Tokenomics and the utility of the CARE token?

Yamanouchi: The main utilities of CareCoin are as follows:

1. As a network effect, users may keep their CareCoin in their wallet and utilize it for spending with any third party, merchant, or service provider on the ecosystem or which may be unrelated to the platform that is willing to accept these CareCoin as the settlement currency for the transaction.

2. Data providers and businesses will be incentivized with CareCoin rewards for participating in the ecosystem.

You may find more information on our Whitepaper.

Q: Your project name is very interesting. Does it have any story behind it?

Yamanouchi: The first reason is that CARE is a project about healthcare. Simple as it is, most of you have already noticed that. The reason is that we want to motivate people to care for themselves more. Stressful things happen, the pandemic, the bear market, overwork, etc. Under any conditions, your physical and mental health always matters.

Q: I want to support your project. Tell us more about the Ambassador Program and in what ways we can participate.

Yamanouchi: Thanks so much for your interest! The ambassador program is a great idea. I've also noticed that KuCoin's ambassador program covers various fields, including community management and ecosystem building. It's quite inspiring. We will also discuss it. CARE can bring a proper ambassador program at an appropriate time.
